The prescription is composed of 9 tortoise hearts, 5 g of Longgu ( Os Draconis), Yuanzhi (Radix Polygalae), Guiban (Carapax et Plastrum Testudinis ), Zhusha ( Cinnabaris ), Shichangpu ( Rhizoma Acori Graminei ), Tianmendong ( Radix Asparagi ), Maimendong (Radix Ophipogonis ), Baiziren ( Semen Biotae ), Baifuling ( Poria ), Xuanshen ( Radix Scrophulariae ), J iegeng (Radix Platycodi ), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Danshen ( Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae ), Zaoren ( Semen Ziziphi Jujubae ), Dannanxing ( Arisaema cum Bile), Shudihuang ( Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata ), Wuweizi ( Fructus Schisandrae), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis ), Fushen (Poria cure Ligno Hospite ), Gancao ( Raix Glycyrrhizae ) and Xiongdan ( Fel Ursi ) [If it is not available, replace it with Niudan (Fel Bovis)] respectively.

Grind all the above ingredients into powder to make pills with honey with the size of a longan. Take one pill orally each time with the decoction of ten rush pithes and three dates. The prescription focuses on tonifying the heart and has better effects on congenital maldevelopment of intelligence. It is also effective for amnesia, frequent palpitation and insomnia.

The prescription is composed of 60 g of Baifuling (Poria), 30 g of Rougui ( Cortex Cinnamomi), Yuanzhi (Radix Polygatae ) , Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Tianmendong (Radix Asparagi), Shichangpu (Rhizoma Acori Graminei) and Digupi ( Cortex Lyeii Radicis ) respectively.
Grind all the above ingredients into fine powder to make pills with honey with the size of a Chinese parasol seed. Take 10 to 20 pills each time. The prescription has the actions of invigorating the heart qi, clearing away heat from the heart and refreshing the mind. The book claims: "It benefits the heart and intelligence, makes people wise" and "treats amnesia".
