Point:

Yemen -- Sj 2

Puncture:

With a 1.5 cun needle, puncture obliquely towards the middle of the 4th and 5th carpal bones.

Technique:

Insert the needle up to 1 cun obliquely between the carpal bones. Rotate the needle to induce a needling sensation until the patient feels local soreness and distention radiating to the arm, elbow or fingertips. Retain the needle for 40 to 60 minutes.

If the pain persists, puncture the opposite site using the same stimulation.
