Managing your insulin (controlling sugar sources)
Eating small portions instead of "filling up" at meals
Keeping your body fat percentage down (obesity is a high risk factor)
Make sure you get at least 30 minutes of exercise or some kind of physical activity each day. For example walking around your neighborhood each day is a good idea.
Make sure you eat a little bit of food from each section of the food pyramid each day.
Watch the amount of sugar you put into your body. Like instead of drinking a regular soda, drink a diet soda.
Drink plenty of water, because your body needs water.
