    Psoriasis

This is a skin disease with repeated appearance of lesions covered with dry silvery white scales, peeled by scratching.

It can be divided into 4 types: Patients with heat pathogens in the blood may have rapid spread of flushed skin lesions with many scales and apparent itching, dryness of the mouth and tongue, passage of dry stool and annoyance.

patients with dryness pathogens in the blood may have fewer flushed skin lesions in the static and resolving stage with less itching and covered with fewer scales firmly attached to the skin.

patients with attack of damp-heat pathogens may have superficial aseptic pustules on the palms and soles or all over the body, fever and thirst.

patients with disturbance of Chongmai (thoroughfare vessel) and Renmai (conceptional vessel) may have skin lesions changing in appearance with menstruation, irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea.

Recipe 1: Fifteen water chestnuts and preserved vinegar 80 ml.
Administration: The water chestnuts are washed clean, peeled, soaked in the vinegar and then boiled in a non-metal pot for 10 minutes on a slow fire. The vinegary water chestnuts are pounded to prepare a paste for external application to the skin lesions, which are then wrapped in a piece of gauze, once a day.
Indication: This paste is used to treat psoriasis due to heat pathogens in the blood. Mild cases may be cured within 3-5 days, while severe cases can be cured in one week. The application of this paste may cause local itching and slight pain:

Recipe 2: An adequate amount of pomegranate peel and sesame oil 30 ml.
Administration: The pomegranate peel is burned, and 10 g of the charred powder is mixed with sesame oil to prepare a paste for external application, twice a day for one week.
Indication: This paste is used to treat psoriasis due to dryness pathogens in the blood.

Recipe 3: Black plums 500 g and a small amount of sugar.
Administration: The black plums, with the pits removed, are boiled in water to prepare a syrup with sugar for oral intake of 9 g with warm water, 3 times a day until the disease is cured.
Indication: The plum syrup can enrich Yin and moisten dryness to treat psoriasis due to dryness pathogens in the blood.

    Recipe 4: Walnuts 60 g.
Administration: The walnuts are pounded, and the oil in the paste is absorbed with filter paper. The pounded walnuts are put into a gauze bag for rubbing the skin lesions, 2-3 times a day.
Indication: This method is used to treat psoriasis in women due to disturbance of Chongmai and Renmai.
