    If a woman of reproductive age does not bear child after continuously living with her reproductively healthy husband for 1-2 years, this is known as female infertility. It can be divided into 2 types: Patients of infertility due to stagnation of liver Qi may suffer from delayed menstruation, pain and distension of the chest and flanks, and annoyance; and patients of infertility due to accumulation of cold and dampness pathogens may suffer from delayed menstruation, lower abdominal pain before menstruation, lumbago, cold limbs and pale complexion.

    Recipe 1: Haws 10 g, Rougui (cinnamon bark) 6 g and brown sugar 30 g.
    Administration: The haws are washed clean, the Rougui is cut into small cubes and both ingredients are boiled with water in an aluminum pot over a strong fire, which is changed to a slow fire, for 30 minutes to prepare a decoction for drinking after being mixed with sugar.
    Indication: This recipe is used to treat infertility due to accumulation of cold and dampness pathogens.

    Recipe 2: Leeks 250 g, fresh peeled shrimps 400 g and adequate amounts of vegetable oil, green onion, ginger, salt and yellow wine.
    Administration: The leeks are washed clean and cut into short pieces, the green onion is cut into short segments and the ginger is cut into grains. The shrimps are fried in oil with the leeks and condiments to prepare a dish for oral intake.
    Indication: This shrimp dish is used to treat infertility due to accumulation of cold and dampness pathogens.
