Course
This channel originates in the uterus, and makes its downward way through the perineum, across the pubisure part, along the midline of the abdomen and the chest, through the throat to the mandible where it turns round the lips and up to Yinjiao(DU28). Via the face, two branches of the channel ascend to the regions below the orbits of the eyes.
Qihai(CV6)
Location: On the lower abdomen and on the anterior midline. 1.5 cun below the centre of the umbilicus.
Indications: Pain in the lower abdomen, enuresis, emission, impotency, hernia, edema, diarrhea, dysentery, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrheal, amenorrhea, morbid leukorrhee, postpartum hemorrhage, constipation, apoplexy presented by prostration syndrome.
