Guilin study tours are designed to supply you Guilin China tours with an immersing experience in contemporary Chinese culture. Participants study various subjects like Chinese Taiji (Tai Chi ), Chinese cuisine, Chinese language, basic Chinese medicine(acupuncture, cupping, Tuina and herbs etc) etc.

The first day: Pick you up from your hotel in Guilin around 9:00am. Then drive to the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Guilin Sino-western Medicine Joint Hospital.

You will be arranged to meet and talk to the professions in the Guilin TCM center. They will make a brief introduction to the TCM center, practices of acupuncture, Chinese herbology,TCM culture and measures to protect the health. Then you will appreciate the Taichi performance practiced by the Taichi masters. After the Taichi performance, the TCM theory courses will begin.

During the 15 days, the learners will learn the following subjects of TCM theory:

1. basic theory of TCM such as Yin-yang and the five elements,Zangxiang(viscera and their manifestations), Qi,Blood and body fluid, The meridians and collaterals, Prevention and therapeutic principles and so on.

2. Knowledge of Science of Chinese Materia Medica such as basic information of Chinese medicinal herbs, research of Chinese medicinal herbs, Properties and Actions of Chinese Medical Herbs and Processing of Chinese Medical Herbs and so on.

3. The stories of the famous TCM doctors in history,Life cultivation in four seasons and so on.
4. Basic health care methods of natural therapy such as taichi, reflexology and so on.

After finishing learning the TCM theory courses for 15 days, you are arranged to enjoy the beautiful scenery in Guilin for three days. The specific tour line is as following:

3-day Waterway Tour of Yangshuo-Xingping-Yangdi
Destination : Guilin,Yangshuo,Xingping,Yangdi
Schedule:  

Day 1: Yangshuo

Arrive in Guilin. Our tour guide will meet you at Guilin airport and transfer to the hotel in Yangshuo.

Day 2: Yangshuo / Xingping/Yangdi (B/D)

In the early morning, a Taichi class will be presented in Yangshuo by Master Wang who is the most famous Master of Taichi in Yangshuo.

After breakfast, drive to the Xingping pier and start hiking tour (6 hours walk along Li River to Yangdi. Along the way you will enjoy the scenery: Water Buffalo eating grass along the river, fishermen catching fish with cormorants, a kind of simple watercraft made of bamboo poles tied together with fishing line net).  Near 16:00 pm, arrive at Yangdi, a small fishing village, where is the end of our hiking tour. At night, the overnight camping night is held on a green islet, at the same time, a barbecue party will be arranged at night.(All camping and barbecue facilities, such as sleeping bags, camps, etc will be prepared by us in advance.)

Day3: Yangshuo /Yangshuo/Guilin (B)

Transfer to Yangshuo by local bus. Ride bicycle about one hour to Yulong River, then push your bike and start two hours water rafting on the river, which will pass through the limestone peaks and beautiful rice paddies.

After that, continue your bike riding to Moon Hill, and climb up the hill to have a bird-eye view of the whole area, then cycle back to Yangshuo.

Return to Guilin by bus, then transfer to the airport (you can ask a taxi to take you to the airport where is 27km from Guilin, the cost of taxi charge is about US$ 10 one way per car, which is not included in our quotation).
