Oophoritic cyst is a commonly encountered tumor in gynecology, either benign or malignant. The following discussion may focus on benign type. Oophorific cyst is usually caused by dysfunction of the viscera, disharmony between qi and blood, invasion of wind and cold right after labor or during menstruation, retention of blood stasis during menstruation and labor that inactivate kidney yang; or by interior impairment due to emotional changes, stagnation of qi and interior retention of phlegm, fluid and stasis.
