Retinal vein obstruction, a quite common disease of the eyeground, is classified into the obstruction of the central vein of the retina and that of branched veins of the retina according to the part being obstructed. Clinically, it is characterized by the sudden diminution of vision. Common in the middle-aged and the elder, the case usually occurs unilaterally, seldom bilaterally, with no sexual difference.
